Type 1 technology is basically taking your own way of teaching and making it more efficient or easier to understand. Type 2, on the other hand, is when you "jump out of your comfort zone" and create something new and exciting for children to learn from.
Type 1: 1. The diagrams on the board are to fill in during math class. They used the computer to project what they were doing on it. 2. Having a poster displayed for your students to look at for guidance on a teacher’s website is helpful. 3. Using computer applications such as Microsoft Works or Office is another one.
Type2. 1. Using IMOVIE to build a project about the 70's in 8th grade is a great idea. 2. Using the same project as mentioned before and adding in music to sing a 70's hit song while the project is being displayed. 3. Editing yearbooks on computer applications and basically building it from the front cover to the end.
